Here is a test of the first pics: the pitiful progress on the KTC socks:
As you can tell from this image, the yarn is actually green. In the image below (Passage to India Project), the yarn looks very dark, almost black. I have to admit, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this yarn!!! When sock weather gets into full drive I will DEFINITELY (or should I say defiantly as my students do?!?!) be using more Koigu.
Don’t you just love the little marbling of the random patches of lighter green? I think this effect is the result of the hand painting, but since I am trying not to get involved in dying projects, I will leave the absolutes of this claim to those who dye.
Since it's 2:34 a.m., I will have to play with this more tomorrow. YIPPEEEEE!
